Professional underwater photographer Andy Davies, together with the West Wales Dive Company and Cameras Underwater, are pleased to offer underwater photography workshops based at the National Trust's Education Centre at Stackpole and at WWDC's teaching centre at Broad Haven North.

West Wales has some of the best diving in the UK on offer, boasting its very own Skomer Marine Nature Reserve and the Pembrokeshire Marine Special Area of Conservation. We will explore shallow reefs that have have an abundance of marine life from exquisite jewel anemones to playful Atlantic grey seals.

Regardless of the weather, there is always somewhere sheltered to dive. Participants are required to be comfortable diving in UK waters and the weekend workshop involves relaxed shore and boat diving at sites that are not exposed to currents and have a maximum depth of 15m.

Participants arrive Friday evening for an introductory talk. Saturday morning is devoted to a dry session followed by a shore dive in the afternoon. We all get together for an early evening picture review followed by dinner.

A futher shore dive is carried out on Sunday morning followed by a boat dive (subject to weather conditions) in the afternoon. The weekend finishes with a final picture review.

Cost
Broad Haven Weekend Workshop - £295. Includes B&B accomodation at Broad Haven Youth Hostel, instruction and one boat dive. Accreditation for the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer is available at an additional cost of £20.

Equipment required
Digital compact cameras (waterproof) or digital single lens reflex cameras (DSLRs) with interchangeable lenses in underwater housings. Please call Ben Dean at Cameras Underwater on 01404 812277 for advice and purchasing of equipment.
