| At the start of the day Andy gave advice on camera settings and within a short space of time we were photographing puffins - lots of them & within feet of us! A picnic lunch and more information on techniques for landscape photography, more puffins (they were difficult to leave) and a walk to Skomer Head for some inspiring coastal views and an opportunity to take some landscape pics. A stroll back in the direction of the boat provided opportunities to take photos of rabbits and oystercatchers. Waiting for the boat back to the mainland afforded plenty of time to photograph razorbills and guillemots, birds on the nest, and to practice shots of birds in flight. Back to the mainland where the loos are always open as swallows nest in there!!
 | Notwithstanding the outstanding beauty of Skomer Island and the wildlife it supports the day lived up to it's description of being a 'photography workshop' with plenty of useful information from Andy and opportunities for one-to-one help. The combination of great weather and good input from Andy made for a brilliant day. Skomer exceeded my expectations and the puffins were mesmerizing! Intend to do the Grassholm workshop next.
