What a great day! Thanks so much to Andy for sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge of photography, as well as his deep love for the uniqueness of all that Skomer offers.

The day started with meeting at the quay for the short boat ride to the island. Once we arrived we were given an introduction to the island, then walked towards The Wick for our first input session and opportunity to meet the Puffins. Time for lunch, then more time to practice our photography - with particular focus on how to photograph birds in flight.

There was even time for a walk to Skomer Head and more pics before catching the last boat back to the mainland. This was my first ever photography workshop and I'm looking forward to being able to take part in another. A relaxed day, but one full of input and opportunities to put into practice all that Andy was teaching us. Well worth it.
