Photographing puffins is something that I have wanted to do for a long time so this trip with Andy was a bit of a dream come true. What did I want to get out of it….at least one photograph that I would be proud enough to print and put on the wall, and maybe learn something along the way.

Andy caters for all levels of photographers, and even if you are a confident photographer there is still a lot to learn. All the things you may know about how photography works and you may have learned to obey the rules of photography and may have been doing for years, but never really knew why…start to come together.

The group of us had a fantastic day together on Skomer island which is teeming with birdlife. Andy is very knowledgeable about the behaviour of the birds and this really helps when it comes to positioning yourself for the best pictures. Do I have images I am happy to put on the wall…yes I do.
