I had a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting day with Andy. He offered plenty of advice and tips, explaining the theory and showing me the practical side. In particular learning about composition and setting up the camera correctly before the shot was incredibly useful, as well as using the camera's features to review the shot and tweak settings to improve it if necessary.

Although I wasn't able to take the course on Skomer due to the weather, the day on the mainland around the coastline was extremely valuable and we were able to focus on my main interest of wildlife photography, while also helping me with landscapes and introducing me to macro to advance all round skills. Macro in particular is something I will look to do much more of. I believe my shots when I did make it over to Skomer separately the next day were a big improvement on what I would have taken before Andy's tuition.
