Another great day on Skomer with Andy! I've attended a few of his workshops now and there is always something new to learn. Being able to book in advance and get the first boat out and the last back to the mainland was great in terms of maximising the available time on the island.

After the initial explanation to the group of how the camera works and how we see the world around us, the tuition was on the whole tailored to the ability and comprehension of the individual.

Andy has a depth of knowledge and an infectious enthusiasm for his craft, which is also supplemented by his encyclopaedic knowledge of Skomer and the wildlife that can be found there. This proved invaluable in terms of predicting the behaviour of the puffins and their predicted flight paths, which enabled us to get some great bird in flight images.
