This trip had been two years in the planning and it was on my photography Bucket list to try and get to see the Puffins. After advice from a friend I booked onto Andy's workshop giving the benefit of a whole day on Skomer.
The workshop was excellent and Andy made everyone feel welcome from the very start. Andy led the way round the Island and made sure we all knew how to get the best of the lighting, our cameras and the puffins and other seabirds.

The instruction was comprehensive and fun and Andy made the effort to ensure the whole group were happy with the shots they were getting on the day. The balance between taking pictures and learning was perfect.
My dream shot was to get a puffin with a beak full of sand eels, and with Andy's help I nailed it, that one will be a certain one for the next camera club submission. The tricky puffin in flight is still work in progress....guess that means I will just have to book another day with Andy !!"
